What is the most underrated war movie of all time?
War movies like Apocalypse Now and Saving Private Ryan stand out as the most distinguished war films of their respective eras, but there are some unbelievable classics that slipped through the cracks and never achieved commercial popularity. Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line is my favorite war movie and it's one that I insist is underrated and underappreciated. Not only is Malick one of the most impressive visual directors ever, but the cast is filled with A-list actors, and it's got a stunning musical score

How do you feel about the Salem's Lot remake's streaming-only release?
The upcoming new adaptation ofSalem's Lotis finally right around the corner, currently set for a streaming-only release on Max on October 3. While I am thrilled that the movie is finally going to see the light of day after being delayed numerous times over the past two years, I am a little disappointed it's not going to be a theatrical release, as its horror aesthetic is perfect to watch on the big screen during the spooky season, especially given the majority of recent Stephen King adaptations have been streaming exclusives rather than make it to theaters.

Would you like to see a direct sequel to Prometheus?
As someone who honestly enjoys a significant amount ofPrometheus, I admire the tonal difference between it and the originalAlienfilms. I wonder if there's some merit to the idea of having a direct sequel or series based on David, Shaw, and the world of the Engineers introduced in that film. We see some continuation inAlien: Covenant, but it's almost an entirely fresh cast and felt like more of a tone shift. WithAlien: Romulusnow bringing the saga back to its roots, I'd love to see other films explore more of the concepts established in the prequels.

Who is the best live-action Superman actor?
Henry Cavill was the latest to take flight in theaters, but the DCEU's bleaker take on the Man of Steel never allowed him to truly shine. Brandon Routh had immense potential but was saddled with a boring movie. Tyler Hoechlin is a fantastic Clark Kent and Superman, being a top candidate. It is hard to put other actors above Tom Welling, as the star had ten seasons to develop his Clark Kent in Smallville. Ultimately, Christopher Reeve still stands as the most iconic take on Superman with a perfect dual performance, but David Corenswet could change things in 2025's Superman.

Who Was The Best Minor Love Interest In The Harry Potter Movies?
Throughout the Harry Potter franchise, the Golden Trio had multiple love interests before Harry and Ginny, as did Ron and Hermoine, ended up together. There’s been much debate over the years regarding whether these were the best Harry Potter couples or if some other love interests fit better for the characters. I started thinking about this when Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Afshan Azad (Padma Patil) reunited. Though I don’t think Padma and Ron were meant for each other, I liked the idea of Cho Chang and Harry together, even though they weren’t each other's dates to the Yule Ball.

Has The Monsterverse become too Kong-focused?
Despite kicking off the franchise with Godzilla, the Monsterverse has steadily become more focused on Kong than any of the other monsters and Titans, particularly with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Skull Island on Netflix. As the franchise gears up to expand with a new movie, Monarch season 2 and Apple TV+ spinoffs, some are hoping for Godzilla to return to the focus, and I couldn't agree more. With each new movie, Kong has been fleshed out as a hero while Godzilla's ties to humanity have remained ambiguous, and it's time for him to get the same treatment.

Is Tom Holland getting another Spider-Man trilogy?
After Spider-Man: No Way Home made almost $2 billion worldwide, the question remains of how long a future Tom Holland will have in the MCU. As the actor is still only 28 years old, Holland could realistically keep playing Peter Parker for a decade or more. While there are rumors that Holland will be back for another trilogy in the MCU, currently, only Holland's Spider-Man 4 has been confirmed. That said, it is hard to imagine a world where Tom Holland does not get a new Spider-Man trilogy along with his Avengers movie appearances.

Is Jensen Ackles playing Batman in the DCU?
Batman will debut in the new DC Universe's The Brave and the Bold movie. The Boys star Jensen Ackles has been rumored to play Bruce Wayne, which James Gunn, the DCU's creative chief, has shot down. Ackles could still be cast as Batman; however, no actor has been chosen at the moment, with casting for the new Batman only starting when the movie has its script ready. Based on his dark and action-heavy roles in Supernatural and The Boys, as well as being the voice of Batman in DC's animated Tomorrowverse, Ackles would be perfect for the DCU's Dark Knight.

While theFast and Furiousfranchise may have been his claim to fame, and most popular role, Paul Walker had a number of great movies he was a part of before his death in 2013. While I think 2006's Running Scaredmay be his most underrated movie to date, I think 2001'sJoy Rideis definitely my favorite, as it had a great Hitchcockian vibe to it and had a very tense pacing, with Walker and Steve Zahn also having great rapport as brothers.

Fast & Furious 11is expected to be the final mainline installment of the long-running action franchise, and already looks to be racing towards a filming start next year. Vin Diesel recently confirmed having seen some concept art for the movie, including seemingly teasing it will involve Paul Walker's Brian after the character's absence since Walker's death in 2013. WhileFurious 7had the difficult task of concluding its filming and sending Brian off in a meaningful fashion, it did so pretty well with some well-executed CGI of the late actor, which makes the possibility of his return troublesome. As a fan of the franchise, it's hard to deny Brian's absence has been felt deeply these past few films, but out of respect for Walker and avoiding undermining the emotional ending he got, I don't think he should come back forFast & Furious 11.

Is Oddity worth streaming?
Spooky season is here, and along with it comes the perfect time to cuddle up on the couch and watch scary movies. Oddity is one of the top performing streaming films on Shudder, and for good reason. Itis an unsettling, intense, and eerie film, with lots of surprises in store for viewers. Creepy is a great way to describe this film, making it well worth streaming this Halloween season - or any time of the year!

Is Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom good casting?
During Marvel’s 2024 Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Doctor Doom in the MCU. Though Doctor Doom is a good replacement for Kang, Robert Downey Jr.’s casting has caused mixed reactions. I’m happy to see RDJ back in the MCU, but I might have a hard time seeing him as anyone but Iron Man. I hope Doctor Doom will be an Iron Man variant in the MCU rather than the franchise ignoring Robert Downey Jr.’s history as the superhero.

The Superman costume is still proving to be divisive, with some preferring Henry Cavill's sleeker design, and lots in favor of the old school comic aesthetic. But what do you think? Should The Conjuring franchise continue after Last Rites?
The Conjuring: Last Rites was recently confirmed for a September 2025 release date. With the fourquel set to be the final mainline installment in the horror franchise, the interconnected universe's future remains in question, with no Annabelle or Nun sequels currently in the works, and the previously announced TV show getting no major updates in recent years, it seems like the end is indeed nigh. Despite the Nun's underwhelming storytelling, the Conjuring franchise should continue and offer other rising filmmakers the chance to shine, as Annabelle: Creation did with David F. Sandberg and the first Nun did for Corin Hardy.

Superman & Lois season 4 brought Tyler Hoechlin's Clark Kent back to life, but there is a twist. Now that he has General Sam Lane's heart, Superman is not as powerful as he once was. With the Man of Steel operating at a lower level and both of his sons now having powers, Clark Kent could leave his legacy in their hands by the end of the series. While he only developed powers in season 4, Jonathan Kent is a natural, and the DC series is surely making him look fit to be the next Superman, which I would like.

Is Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier again in Thunderbolts*?
The first trailer for Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* teased a possible major change for Bucky Barnes. At the end of the footage, it seems like Bucky is attacking the Thunderbolts instead of helping them. This leads me to believe that Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine or someone else has reactivated his Winter Soldier condition. However, this could be merely a misdirect for the trailers, with Bucky actually helping the other Thunderbolts* in the sequence. I hope that is the case, as the MCU has gone to great lengths to move Bucky past his Winter Soldier trauma.

Will you be watching Ted Lasso season 4?
Although the finale of Ted Lasso season 3 seemed to serve as the show’s final episode, it appears that Ted Lasso season 4 could already be in the works. While it appeared that the show was finished, there could still be more story to tell about AFC Richmond in whatever state it’s in. Though I enjoy Ted Lasso, I’m struggling to find myself excited about another season when the last was underwhelming, and the ending felt like that of a series finale.

How do you feel about Arcane ending after season 2?
Arcane is ending after season 2, which is releasing in three parts starting in November. The first season was fully embraced by fans and critics, which makes this decision questionable. While I will always commend a show for not overstaying its welcome, only two seasons of such a gorgeously animated, action packed, emotional series, seems like a crime. Hopefully the creatives behind this series have ideas for spin-offs because I do no want these nine episodes to be the last we see of these characters.

While I'm mixed on Taylor Sheridan's non-Yellowstone-relatedshows so far, I'm stoked forLandman. The cast alone is unbelievable, and I'm particularly excited for Demi Moore after how great she was inThe Substance. Jon Hamm has been making the rounds on excellent TV shows recently, and Billy Bob Thornton is all too perfect a fit for Taylor Sheridan's writing.

Are you excited to see characters returning for an Alien: Romulus sequel?
It was announced today that Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson would be returning for an Alien: Romulus sequel and I have to say this is thrilling news. This is the first time in decades that the Alien franchise will have continuity in its protagonists between films, and I think that will do wonders in continuing to build an audience for the series. Not to mention, less time spent on character introduction exposition means more time for Alien action and lore.
